I should get rid of complacency and wake up to live my life fully surrendered and offered to God. I choose to live my life for the glory of God
which I can not do it on my own . So dear god, please give me strength and wisdom to carry your kingdom!

Dear Gen, because I've known you for years on internet, I know I won't ever be able to express how desperately you are seeking for ways to surrender your life to God. Although I haven't met you in person, I'm truly honored to walk with you, dear my sister in faith, for this journey. Please never stop sharing your art with the world. May God shine His light through your art.

Lord, today is finally the day of Jubi's birthday party. The weather is cloudy and it looks like it will rain. It seems that not everything will go as planned. I think I have to buy it because there are preparations that are missing. But I remember that there was God's grace in yesterday's women's ministry. Thank GOD... Lord, don't let me get complacency about this party. I pray that it will be a time that pleases God, and that Jubi and everyone in attendance will rejoice.

Dear Caris, I hope Jubi is enjoying her birthday! God, be there! Be the king of their party. Let them rejoice in Your light and protection. Happy birthday, Jubi!

In the spiritual journey, we try to have desire to expand our spiritual horizons. There is no room for complacency. When we have self-satisfaction about our spiritual condition, it is easy to be arrogant. Therefore we always try to be humble in front of God.

Yes, Andrea! God, help us not forget who we are. We are creatures. You are the creator. We exist because You gave us Your life. Let us not forget who, where, and why we exist, Lord.

Daniella2023-04-27 21:26
I choose to live every new fresh day with joyful mind. I refuse to stay complacency as I am born again every new day with desiring God.

Amen! Dear Lord, I also choose to live every second of our given days as a new moment, being clothed in Your mercy and love. Help us choose to walk the narrow path. Help us take yet another step even when we are out of energy. Be the light of our way. Be the path of our walk.

In some period of my university years, I'd let complacency takeover my life. There was no goal that I wanted to achive, no reason with what I was studying for, no purpose in numberless gatherings, yet my overinflated ego kept on whispering to me that this is perfectly normal for a girl in her sophisticated 20's. Looking back, I think it was a time when I was in deep spiritual depression, unable to feel nor sense the need for God's intervention to help me discover my true purpose within His plan.

What annoys me about myself is my complacency. I seem to have no desire to be holy like Jesus. But now I know I can't make me be holy. Only God makes me holy when I surrender all. Then God starts to workimg on and in me.
Today's Bible Verse
I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:12–14
From the Book
I’m praying for you to be able to focus on running toward the heavenly prize. [Part 2]
Paul saw this life in Christ as a race that has a finish line. And he was focused on finishing his race well. He wanted to continue to invest everything he could in advancing the kingdom of God. He refused to allow the suffering of prison to lull him into complacency or comfort- seeking or self-centeredness. Rather than focusing on being cold, forgotten, treated harshly, and unjustly accused, Paul was focused on the ultimate goal of life in Christ: to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize, the Father’s “well done.” He was focused on living all out for Christ in this life, believing that it would result in reward and gladness in the life to come.
<I'm Praying for You> Nancy Gutherie, p72
Ashley's Note
These days, God is making me contemplate about being responsible of my prayer. I had prayed for the revival of young Christians in their 20s and 30s, expecting the fire from heaven above to be upon us during the worship service. Instead, God is making me face individuals who are suffering. Their suffering is mainly caused by crimes, but if you look really close, you would know that the very seed of these types of suffering is from our sinful nature. They are asking why these things happen to them. One of them even said that she felt like God is punishing her for not being faithful. This is why I've turned myself to read this book, <I'm Praying for You> once again. For I'm praying for the revival, I can't no longer cover my ears and choose to take a step away from their pain. There is no room for complacency. It is God's call for me to take a responsibility of my prayer from the past. It is also God's invitation for me to pray once again and witness how God is renewing their souls for the true revival. Yes, Lord. Let Your will be done.
