Word of the day: Specific
This morning, Rev. Kim who served our church for more than twenty years before my father came to the church has passed away. This afternoon, one of my closest friends let me know that she and her son were in a car acciden. Thankfully, the accident was a light one, but she needs to be hospitalized for a couple of days. What about my personal life. My family is in the season where God is making us hold onto His grace only by getting rid of all the other options. Oh how dangerous it is the power of fear that comes with the uncertainty and the unknown future. This world, including mine is so broken that every creature is on the verge of collapse.
I want to finish today's reflection with the specific prayer by using the quote from Henry Nouwen that Emily shared twice in her podcast. Lord, don't allow us to become paralyzed by feelings of impotence and guilt. Help me be very faithful to my vocation, to do well the few things I am called to do and hold onto the joy and peace they bring me. Guide me to resist the temptation to let forces of darkness pull me into despair and make me one more of their many victims. Help me keep my eyes fixed on You and on those who follow You, and trust that I will know how to live out my mission to be a sign of hope in this world. In Jesus' name, amen.

Word of the day: Hold onto
Whenever I face unexpected suffering, I'm usually overwhelmed and paralyzed thinking that I can not handle this situation totally and find any hope.
But I have to accept the fact that I don't have sollution and can't save the ones I love, even myself from the suffereing.
I need helper and savior. That's God, who is our good father.
As I am stuck into the tragedy and hard circumstances, I need to look for helpers around me like Emily says.
At the same time, we need time to care for our mind, body and spirit.
we actually tend to lush the healing and sollution toward not only other people around us but also ourselves.
we need self-care time and holding onto the space for healing.
Holding onto the space where I am weak would be the one of the best way to hold onto the joy and peace which God gives for us specifically like Henri Nouwen says.
Then when we meditate on our vocation faithfully which is come from God, we can get the sign of the hope in the midst of suffering.
Because only God is our hope in any circumstances.

My word for the day is move forward
Finally it's the last day of giving table. It has been really a good meaningful listening reading and writing.
In today's contents I find it is important to be specific in life , and it all helps to move forward to the next right thing, to the right direction
It is a beginning season of the year and there are things I should stop to ponder and process and give it a name specifically and then finally let go.
Things that are not from God , things I have been lingering and hesitant to go to the next step. It' season to move forward I guess.
The spring is coming up and i want to move forward with specific prayers and interests and also with new heart and hope.

It is the last day of the ‘Giving table’
*The most memorable word today is ‘specific’.
It is said that the only antidote to specific evil is specific hope. Each tragedy and sadness occurs concretely, and in that tragedy, we cannot find an answer in an empty space. So did I. When I was sad and heartbroken, I was often engulfed by that emotion.
I found my voice, specifically searched for my thoughts, prayed, and did not act. I have to find and move in my place from the small things I can do. As a mother taking care of children, I will listen to Lord specific and detailed voice as a person who reads, writes, and expresses myself.
